Spring House Guest Guidelines
Welcome! We’re excited to have you. Please review these guidelines to ensure a smooth and enjoyable event for everyone.
Building Comfort & Maintenance
- Climate Control: Please call us to adjust the air conditioning. Keep all exterior doors closed at all times to maintain a cool temperature inside and keep flies out.
- Pest Control: Guests are responsible for excessive fly or pest issues resulting from doors being left open. A fee will be applied for excessive pest clean-up if doors are not kept shut.
- Floors: Only water should be used for cleaning spills on the floors.
- Furniture & Fixtures:
- Do not drag chairs or tables. Use the chair dolly provided for moving chairs.
- The sectional couch must not be taken apart. Please maintain at least six inches of space between the couch and the wall.
- Keep children from playing with light switches, fans, and dimmers.
Decorations & Damages
- Wall Decorations: Do not use nails, screws, tacks, staples, or Scotch Tape on the walls. Use masking tape or magnets only. Guests will be charged for any damage to the walls.
- Crafts & Paint: Craft paint is permitted outdoors only (on the grass or dirt) and must be done on your own tables or tarps.
- Prohibited Items: No crepe paper is allowed.
- Open Flames: No candles or open flames are allowed inside the building at any time.
Kitchen & Food Preparation
- Kitchen Use: This is a warming kitchen only. Please prepare as much food as possible in advance.
- Deep Frying: Deep frying is strictly prohibited inside the building. Please fry any meats before arriving.
- Stove Use: When using the stovetop, please use the range fan and lids on all fry pans.
- Grills: You must bring your own barbecue grill if needed. A large smoker is available for rent from Roystone.
- Provided Supplies: Roystone provides basic pots, pans, mixing bowls, cooking utensils, serving dishes, and dish detergent (an inventory is available). Guests must supply: table service (plates, silverware, etc.), dish cloths, dish towels, paper towels, and appliances like toasters or mixers.
- Children & Food: Do not allow children to walk around the building with food items such as cupcakes, popsicles, or watermelon. A cleaning fee will be charged if excessive clean-up is required due to food messes.
- Sunflower Seeds: Do not spit sunflower seeds on the ground. A clean-up fee will be charged for any resulting mess.
Grounds, Access, & Noise
- Reservations:
- 24-Hour Rental: Includes private use of all grass areas and outdoor shelters. The pool, hot tub, and party room must be rented separately.
- Hourly Rental: Does not include private use of the grounds outside the building.
- Guest Access: Please instruct your guests to use the RV entrance to avoid congestion with the pool area entrance.
- Noise Curfew: All music must be confined to inside the Spring House after 10:00 PM.
Prohibited Activities & Conduct
- Smoking/Vaping: A $100 fine will be charged for any smoking or vaping inside the building.
- Pets: A $100 fine will be charged for any pets brought inside the building.
- Wheeled Activities: No rollerblading or skateboards are allowed on the property.
- Alcohol & Conduct:
- Alcohol is permitted in the Spring House, the adjoining fenced area, the RV Park, and the private tent area south of the Spring House.
- The person renting the venue must ask any unruly guests to leave immediately. If the group’s behavior cannot be controlled, the entire party will be asked to leave with no refund.
- Illegal Activity: In the event of illegal drug use or alcohol consumption by minors, authorities will be called, and all guests will be asked to leave immediately with no refund.
External Services
- Caterers & Rentals: The person renting the Spring House is fully responsible for all external rentals and caterers, including their service charges and any damages they may cause.
